The National Association of Black Bookstores (NAB²), founded on Juneteenth in 2025 as a 501(c)(3), is a membership-based organization dedicated to promoting literacy, amplifying Black voices and preserving Black culture.
Our Focus Areas
1. Serve as the national clearinghouse and advocate for Black bookstores
2. Provide professional resources and community for booksellers
3. Leverage collective buying power of Black booksellers
4. Grow and sustain Black participation and access in the bookselling industry
5. Preserve and educate on the history and legacy of Black bookstores
